Scannappeal are proud to present it's latest talk - House Histories - 'If Walls Could Talk'. If you’ve been inspired by the BBC’s A House Through Time, come and find out how to uncover the history of a property using some of the key documentary records available and learn tips for discovering more about any home, irrespective of age. Cathy Soughton will use case studies to demonstrate how information can be used from various sources to piece together a history showing when a house may have been built, how it has changed and who owned and lived there in the past. Cathy is a professional house historian and accredited genealogist who researches the history of properties for private home owners and property professionals. Projects have included a Regency townhouse in Berkhamsted where Lady Clementine Churchill spent part of her childhood and a Georgian building in Marlow built for a local MP which is now a solicitor’s office. She has written articles for many publications and was one of the ‘Ask the Experts’ at the Who Do You Think You Are Live Show and Family Tree Live Show. Venue: The Fitzwilliam Centre, Windsor End, Beaconsfield, HP9 2JW Tickets: £15 includes tea and cake
