Green Belt day of action - 13th February 2022

Beaconsfield Green Belt Day of Action 2022
Show your support - walk across the Green Belt, 12 noon Sunday 13th February

As preparation of the Bucks Local Plan starts to gather pace, please show your support for protection of our Green Belt by joining us for a walk across it next weekend at 12 noon on Sunday 13th February.

If you can, please bring placards showing a green heart or one of these posters, and please print out a poster and place in a window to show your support.

The Green Belt walks are taking place nationally - here’s what CPRE are organising in Bedfordshire: https://www.cprebeds.org.uk/news/save-our-greenfields-protest-walks/ Let’s show our support in South Bucks too.

The official walk time is 12 noon, but if you can’t make it then, take a walk any time over the weekend and send us your pics to post on our social media. Show our local and national Government that our Green Belt is important. The protest walks taking place across the country will also support a national petition demanding an end to large scale housing development on greenfield sites. You can sign the petition here:

We are not gathering at a particular spot but we will be walking on the public footpath crossing the Green Belt from the A355 (opposite Ronald Road) towards the Road to Nowhere. See you there!

12 noon Sunday 13th February (or any time if you can’t make it then)

  • Display one of the attached posters in your windows
  • Bring placards if you can
  • Take photos and send them to us or post on social media
