Love Beaconsfield

In 2021, The Beaconsfield Society launched its Love Beaconsfield initiative. We felt that Beaconsfield was looking in need of a little love. From broken benches, graffiti, litter, potholes, broken pavements, overgrown hedges and weeds, there are plenty of things to fix! The Love Beaconsfield team consists of a number of wonderful volunteers who are taking action to bring some improvements and TLC to our town.

We have been out and about taking photographs of potholes, broken pavements, broken benches etc and have been talking to the various bodies to have the issues fixed. One way in which we can all help to bring some focus onto problems needing fixing is to report any issues via www.fixmystreet.com. The report will be received immediately by Buckinghamshire Council.

On Saturday 10th July, we held a litter pick event, this year supporting the Surfers Against Sewage Million Miles Clean. Over 35 residents volunteered to join us and collected over 41 bags of litter (and a car tyre!), weighing more than 145kg. A fantastic result. Thanks to all who attended. Please look out for information for another litter pick event later this year.

If you are interested in being part of the Love Beaconsfield team or would like to volunteer for future events please write to us at TheBecSoc@gmail.com.
