The Beaconsfield Society celebrated the life and works of the best-selling author, Sir Terry Pratchett who sold more than 85 million books worldwide and also happens to have been born and raised right here in Beaconsfield. We openned the doors to the wonderful world of his acclaimed fantasy novels!

Wednesday 10th October
An EVENING with STEPHEN BRIGGS- ‘Building a World with Terry Pratchett’
Talk on mapping Discworld by Terry‘s friend and collaborator, Stephen Briggs. Suitable for older children.

Saturday 13th October
CELEBRATION EVENING: ‘Terry Pratchett’s Life’ – Screening of BBC documentary and talk from Terry's friend & collaborator, owner of the Discworld Emporium, 'The Cunning Artificer' Bernard Pearson, a screening of the BBC documentary Terry Pratchett: Living with Alzheimers (courtesy of rdf television) a talk from Tim Waters, on behalf of the Alzheimers Society, a special video message from Terry Pratchett collaborator and international best-selling author, Neil Gaiman
7pm The National Film and Television School, Beaconsfield
£15- Canapés and light refreshments will be served. This evening will include a talk , and an exclusive Silent Auction! Canapés and light refreshments will be served. Proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Society. Unfortunately due to extended work commitments in the US Rob Wilkins is no longer able to attend as previously advertised, and Bernard has kindly stepped in.
