Please object by 9th April to this speculative Green Belt planning application for c.330 homes on the Beeches Park Green Belt fields between Amersham Road and the Road to Nowhere. You can object by email to: planning.comments.csb@buckinghamshire.gov.uk or on-line via Bucks Council's website.
Here's a link to the planning application (PL/25/0492/OA): https://pa-csb.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=SRVZ8TESGGL00
We suggest that you may wish to consider the following points but please use your own words when submitting your comments:
- it's not previously developed land, it's pretty, open countryside;
- it's not grey belt because it performs the Green Belt purposes strongly;
- it harms the setting of the Old Town, results in urban sprawl, encroaches into the countryside, and essentially removes the strategic gap between Beaconsfield and Seer Green;
- it's inappropriate development in the Green Belt and harmful to it;
- site-specific viability for affordable housing has not been demonstrated;
- it's harmful to the setting of the Chilterns AONB (National Landscape);
- it harms the landscape and has a negative impact on Burnham Beeches Special Area of Conservation (SAC);
- in light of c.600 homes being built out at Wilton Park it is not needed and is not sustainable;
- it conflicts with the 165 home "retirement village" at Wilton Park, another one is not needed;
- safe vehicular access is not demonstrated;
- stress on roads, services, water, sewerage;
- loss of best most versatile agricultural land;
- harm to protected species;
- very special circumstances do not exist, therefore this application should be refused.
If you respond by email to planning.comments.csb@buckinghamshire.gov.uk, we would suggest copying your objections to Beaconsfield Town Council at clerk@beaconsfieldtowncouncil.gov.uk.
