Beaconsfield used to be famous for its cherry trees supplying London, we believe from the 19th Century. And of course we are reminded of this every time we go down Cherry Tree Road. And we think - If it’s good enough for Regent’s Park, whose restoration project of 100 cherry trees was a blooming success, it's good enough for us.
As part of the Beaconsfield Society’s efforts in greening our streets, over the last few years we have offered discounted cherry blossom trees for residents to plant in their front gardens. More than 100 trees have been planted already!
